• The average employment per company grew from 306 in 1996 to 862 in 2001, with an average of 556 new jobs created per company.
• The total turnover grew from €21,110,385,000 (21.1 billion) in 1996 to €67,352,348,000 (67.3billion) in 2001, increasing cumulatively by 219% over the five years or at an annual average compounded rate of 26%.
